Time for third option setting aside Lalu and Nitish: PK

Date:

Patna, Dec 26 : Noted poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Monday called upon people to strive for evolving the third option setting aside RJD president Lalu Prasad and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who ruled Bihar for more than 30 years.
Kishore presently undertaking “Jan Suraj Yatra” in Bihar to explore possibilities for launching a new political party, said that the state was reeling under the misrule of Lalu and Nitish for more than 30 years and time had come to evolve a strong third alternative.
A third option could be a reality only if the people of Bihar themselves came forward to change their fates, he added.
“ People of Bihar have the potential to turn their homeland into a developed state in next 10 years”, a poll strategist said adding that development remained only on paper in the last 30 years. People had suffered a lot in the last 30 years, he pointed out.
Kishor said that a unique political culture had developed in Bihar in which a leader launched his political party. Then, he made his son, the leader of the party while others only carried flags of the party, he lamented.
Poll strategist while addressing a public meeting in East Champaran district, said that Bihar was losing revenue of Rs 20,000 Crores every year due to liquor ban and this precious resource was going into pockets of corrupt policemen taking advantage of loopholes in liquor ban law and slackness in enforcing the prohibition. Those responsible for strictly enforcing the liquor ban, were patronising its home delivery, he alleged.
