Prepared to support Rahul for PM candidate : Nitish

Patna, Dec 31(UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday declared that he was prepared to support Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as PM candidate for 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Kumar told media persons here that he had no hesitation and reluctance to extend support to Rahul Gandhi as PM candidate for 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He himself was not interested for the post of PM and not at all in race for top post of the country, the chief minister added.“ All opposition parties should sit together to talk on the issue and work in coordination with one other for better results for opposition in next Lok Sabha elections”, Chief Minister said adding that he had called on Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and it was decided to sit together after “Bharat Jodo” programme of Congress. He would wait till end of “ Bharat Jodo” yatra and expect initiative by Congress on the issue of evolving a strong bondage of all parties opposed to BJP for contesting together next Lok Sabha elections, he added. Kumar said that all opposition parties would also prepare programmes for welfare of the people and development of the country. Programmes prepared by opposition would be implemented once opposition was voted to power in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he added.
