Political Leaders Mourn Ajit Pawar After Tragic Death in Plane Crash

Political leaders across India expressed deep grief after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died in a Baramati plane crash with tributes pouring in from national and Karnataka leadership circles.

A wave of grief swept through the country after news emerged of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s sudden death in a plane crash at Baramati. Political leaders across party lines reacted with shock, calling the loss irreparable for public life.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow, recalling Ajit Pawar as a leader who played a significant role in Maharashtra’s development. He described the loss as deeply personal and a major setback to national politics, offering condolences to the bereaved family.

Veteran leader and NCP founder Sharad Pawar was left devastated by the tragedy. Struggling to come to terms with the loss, he described Ajit Pawar as energetic, hardworking, and close to him like a son, saying the pain was impossible to put into words.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the state had lost a strong administrator and trusted colleague. He noted that Ajit Pawar’s speed in decision making and command over governance were qualities widely respected across political lines. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also said the loss was a personal shock, calling Pawar a pillar of the government.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah conveyed his condolences, stating that Ajit Pawar’s untimely death had left a void in Maharashtra’s political leadership that would be difficult to fill.

Leaders from Karnataka also expressed grief. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the country had lost a senior and capable leader from a neighbouring state. Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar described the news as heartbreaking, remembering Ajit Pawar as a determined and experienced politician. Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy also shared his condolences, calling the loss deeply painful.

As tributes continue to pour in, Ajit Pawar is being remembered not only as a powerful political figure but also as a leader whose influence extended beyond party boundaries, leaving a lasting impact on public life.
