Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam leader and actor Vijay has intensified his political campaign by filing his second nomination from the Tiruchi East constituency, adding fresh momentum to the Tamil Nadu election scene.
The nomination filing turned into a high energy event as large crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor turned politician. The situation briefly turned chaotic when enthusiastic supporters surged forward, following his convoy through the city streets despite police control measures.
During the rush, an unexpected incident occurred when a woman running alongside the convoy lost balance and fell. Vijay immediately halted his vehicle, stepped out, and personally checked on her condition. Only after ensuring she was safe did he continue with his schedule, a moment that drew attention from both supporters and observers.
Later, Vijay submitted his nomination papers to Returning Officer Muthu Murugesha Pandian at the constituency office. He is contesting from two constituencies in this election, having already filed his nomination earlier from Perambalur.
After completing the formalities, Vijay paid tribute to former leader MG Ramachandran by garlanding his statue. Addressing the public, he launched sharp criticism against both the state and central governments. He raised concerns over LPG cylinder shortages in certain areas and questioned whether supply was reaching every household effectively.
He also took aim at Chief Minister MK Stalin, questioning why efforts were not made to resolve essential issues like LPG shortages. Referring to a recent incident involving the murder of a schoolgirl in Vilathikulam, Vijay alleged a decline in law and order and expressed concern over public safety.
Calling for change, Vijay urged voters to reject what he described as negative forces in power. With strong statements, emotional moments, and a dual constituency strategy, his campaign has injected new intensity into the ongoing political battle in Tamil Nadu.
