AP Government Announces Salary Hike for Lepakshi Outsourcing Employees
The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a salary increase for Lepakshi outsourcing employees following strong showroom performance and plans to expand opportunities across the handicrafts sector.

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a salary increase for Lepakshi outsourcing employees, offering relief and encouragement to staff members working across the organisation. Officials said the decision was taken after the company witnessed significant growth in showroom sales.
Minister Savitha stated that employees will receive an increase of more than 10 percent over their current basic salary. She said the improved business performance and contribution of employees played an important role in the government’s decision.
The latest figures shared by the department showed that Lepakshi showrooms recorded sales worth Rs 60.75 crore during the 2025 to 2026 period. Appreciating the efforts of employees, the minister encouraged staff to work towards achieving a sales target of Rs 80 crore in the coming year.
Employees welcomed the announcement and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Savitha for approving the salary revision.
The government also indicated that several development plans are being prepared to strengthen the handicrafts sector and provide better opportunities for artisans throughout the year. Authorities said new Lepakshi showrooms will be opened in different parts of the state while existing outlets will be upgraded to improve customer experience.
Officials revealed that renovation work at Lepakshi showrooms in Delhi and Kakinada has already been completed and those outlets are expected to reopen soon. Plans are also in place to establish a new showroom at Rajamahendravaram Airport after receiving approval from aviation authorities.
The government is additionally moving towards technology driven systems for better management and customer services. Under APHDC, new artificial intelligence based platforms including Taranga and Kalakshi are expected to be introduced to monitor sales, staff performance and demand trends.
Authorities said customers will also be able to order handicraft products through online platforms and social media channels, making traditional art products more accessible across different regions.
