DCW issues notice to DP over alleged molestation incident in a PG

New Delhi, August 17 ( The South India Times): The Delhi Commission for Women(DCW) on Tuesday issued a notice to Delhi Police over an alleged incident of molestation of girls residing in a PG by a security guard. DCW chief Swati Maliwal has asked Delhi Police to register an FIR regarding this incident and arrest the accused. The Commission has also sought the details of registration of the said PG and an action taken report till August 18, the DCW statement stated. Maliwal stated,

“A disturbing incident has been reported to the Commission. An FIR must be registered immediately and the accused must be arrested.” The Commission has taken Suo Motu cog- nizance on a purported video clip posted on social media platforms regarding the alleged molestation of girls in a PG in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area. It is alleged that the security guard of PG allegedly molested the girls residing in the PG. In the purported video clip, a man can be seen grabbing a woman and allegedly molesting her, who is desperately trying to escape.
