Delhi, Aug: Delhi on Wednesday added 97 more electronic buses to its fleet, taking the total number of e-buses in Delhi to 249. The new buses were flagged off by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who said that by the end of 2025 a total of 80 percent of buses in the capital will be electric.
Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot called it a historic moment and said it was a fitting reply to those who warned that the Delhi Transport Corp (DTC) was going to shut down. “We will make DTC the best transport corporation in the world,” said Gahlot.
