The OTT arrival of The Raja Saab is turning into a major digital moment, with fan enthusiasm pushing streaming platform Jio Hotstar to prepare well in advance. The film, led by Prabhas, is set to stream from February 6, and the early response has already made headlines.

Even before its digital premiere, the movie created a stir as lakhs of users clicked the remind me option on the platform. The unexpected surge in traffic reportedly put pressure on streaming infrastructure, prompting Jio Hotstar to upgrade its servers to ensure a smooth viewing experience on release day.

Released theatrically on January 9 as a Sankranti offering, The Raja Saab received mixed reactions at the box office. However, audiences widely appreciated Prabhas in a vintage avatar, especially his comic timing, which became one of the film’s talking points despite divided reviews.

Adding to the excitement, makers have confirmed that the OTT version will feature an extended cut. Viewers can expect additional footage running around eight to ten minutes that was not part of the theatrical release. This includes scenes teased earlier but missing on the big screen, along with portions highlighting Prabhas’s old look.

There is also strong buzz around the inclusion of a rooftop action sequence that could not make it to theatres due to technical limitations. Director Maruthi had earlier hinted at these missing moments, and fans are eager to see them restored in the digital version.

Produced by T G Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, the film reportedly collected over two hundred crore rupees worldwide. With performances by Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar and a powerful presence by Sanjay Dutt, along with music by Thaman, the movie is now gearing up for a second wave of attention across Telugu Tamil Kannada and Malayalam audiences on OTT.
