A desperate attempt to save a critically injured man ended in heartbreak after an air ambulance crash in Jharkhand killed the patient his wife a relative two pilots and two medical staff members.

An effort driven by hope and sacrifice ended in an unimaginable tragedy in Jharkhand where an air ambulance crash claimed seven lives including a patient whose family had borrowed heavily to save him.

The incident occurred late Monday night in Chatra district when a small air ambulance flying from Ranchi to Delhi crashed under unclear circumstances. On board were a critically injured man his wife a relative two pilots and two medical professionals. None survived.

The patient Sanjay aged 41 was a small hotel owner from Chandwa in Latehar district. He had suffered severe burns nearly sixty five percent following a short circuit accident at his workplace last week. Doctors at a local hospital advised immediate advanced treatment prompting the family to plan a transfer to Delhi.

With no financial backing and no other option left Sanjay’s wife Archana approached friends and relatives and managed to borrow around eight lakh rupees. The air ambulance was booked as a final lifeline to take him to a private hospital in the capital.

What was meant to be a journey toward recovery instead became a fatal flight. Along with Sanjay and Archana another family member Dhruv Kumar also boarded the aircraft hoping to support the patient through treatment.

The crash has sent shockwaves through the region leaving behind grieving families and unanswered questions. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident while local residents mourn a story that reflects both human resilience and devastating loss.
