Polling for the Assembly Elections is underway across Kerala Assam and Puducherry with voters turning up early at polling stations. Voting began at 7 in the morning and the Election Commission has released the initial turnout figures recorded within the first two hours.

According to official data Assam reported a polling percentage of 17.87 while Puducherry registered 17.41. Kerala saw a turnout of 16.23 percent during the same time period reflecting steady participation from voters in the early phase.

The elections also witnessed participation from several prominent figures who exercised their right to vote. In Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan along with other ministers cast their votes at designated polling booths.
