India is preparing to take a major digital leap in agriculture with the launch of the Bharat Vistaar AI platform designed to support farmers with practical guidance in their own languages. The initiative was announced as part of a wider effort to modernise farming through technology driven solutions.

The new Bharat Vistaar AI system will bring multiple agriculture related portals under one digital umbrella. Government agristack databases and cultivation practices developed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research will be connected to the platform to ensure accurate and timely recommendations for farmers.

By using artificial intelligence the platform will help farmers handle crop planning pest control soil management and weather related challenges more efficiently. The focus is on providing real time advisory services that are simple to understand and tailored to local conditions.

Alongside the technology push the Union Budget has increased allocations for agriculture and allied sectors to more than one lakh sixty two thousand crore rupees reflecting a stronger policy focus on rural livelihoods. Additional funding has been earmarked for agricultural research education and fisheries development.

Special emphasis is being placed on strengthening fisheries horticulture coconut and cashew cultivation with the aim of turning Indian produce into globally recognised brands by the year two thousand thirty. Programs supporting dairy poultry and livestock sectors are also being expanded with credit linked incentives.

Officials believe Bharat Vistaar AI will become a reliable digital companion for farmers by combining data research and government schemes into one accessible platform. The initiative is expected to improve productivity enhance incomes and make Indian agriculture more resilient in the years ahead.
