Husband Arrested for Allegedly Poisoning Wife Four Months After Love Marriage in Gurugram
A young nurse died under suspicious circumstances in Gurugram just months after her marriage. Police arrested her husband after investigation revealed alleged dowry harassment and poisoning.
Young woman dies under suspicious circumstances
A shocking incident has come to light from Gurugram where a young woman died under suspicious circumstances just four months after her marriage. Police have arrested her husband who is accused of poisoning her following ongoing disputes linked to dowry demands.
The victim has been identified as Kajal who worked as a nurse while the accused Arun Sharma is a radiologist by profession. According to investigators the couple had married recently after a love relationship that began at their workplace.
Love story that ended in tragedy
Kajal and Arun reportedly met while working together at a nursing home in Gurugram. Their professional interaction gradually turned into a close friendship and eventually developed into a romantic relationship.
With the approval of their families the couple got married in November last year and started their new life together. However the happiness did not last long as tensions reportedly began soon after the wedding.
Family members of the victim claim that Arun’s behavior changed within a short period after marriage. They alleged that Kajal was subjected to both physical and mental harassment and that he frequently demanded money.
Incident before the death
According to family members the couple visited Kajal’s house in Garhi Harsaru area of Gurugram on the occasion of Holi on March 4. A serious dispute reportedly took place on March 17 when Arun allegedly assaulted Kajal while under the influence of alcohol.
The following day Kajal was found unconscious after another argument between the couple. Her family noticed blood coming from her nose when she collapsed.
She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Suspicion raised after syringe found
After the incident Kajal’s family members discovered a syringe inside the bathroom of the house which raised suspicion that poison might have been injected. The family immediately informed the police and lodged a complaint.
Police registered a case and began an investigation into the matter. During questioning the accused Arun Sharma allegedly confessed to injecting poison into his wife leading to her death.
Accused arrested during police investigation
Police later tracked down the suspect and arrested him at a railway station while he was reportedly trying to leave the area. Authorities stated that the accused is originally from Behta Hajipur in Ghaziabad.
Investigators also revealed that Arun had developed a habit of substance abuse which may have contributed to his behavior.
Sector 10 police station officials confirmed that the accused has been taken into three days police custody for further questioning.
Postmortem report awaited
Doctors have sent the body for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Police say the complete facts of the case will become clear only after the medical report is received.
Meanwhile the investigation continues as authorities examine all aspects of the incident including the allegations of dowry harassment.
