JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Dates Revised, NTA Releases City Intimation Slip Details
The National Testing Agency has updated the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam schedule, reduced exam days, and activated city intimation slips for candidates ahead of admit card release.

In a significant update for engineering aspirants, the National Testing Agency has revised the schedule for JEE Main 2026 Session 2, bringing slight changes to the previously announced exam dates. Candidates preparing for the exam are advised to take note of the updated timeline and plan accordingly.
As per the latest announcement, the exams will now be conducted from April 2 to April 8, instead of continuing till April 9 as initially scheduled. With this revision, the total duration of the examination window has been reduced from eight days to six days.
The entrance test will be held for multiple papers including Paper 1 for BE and BTech courses, and Paper 2A and 2B for BArch and BPlanning programs. Paper 1 exams are scheduled on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, while Paper 2 examinations will be conducted on April 7. The tests will take place in two shifts each day.
Meanwhile, the application process for the final phase of JEE Main 2026 concluded on March 13 at 9 PM. This session is crucial for candidates seeking admission into undergraduate engineering and architecture courses for the academic year 2026 to 2027.
In another important development, the NTA has released the city intimation slips for candidates. By logging into the official portal using their application number, password, and security pin, applicants can check the city where their examination centre is located. However, detailed information such as the exact exam centre, shift timings, and date will be mentioned only on the admit card.
The admit cards for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 are expected to be released three to four days before the commencement of the examination. Candidates are encouraged to stay updated and regularly check official notifications to avoid missing any crucial information.
