The Railway Recruitment Board has issued an important update for candidates preparing for the RRB 2026 examinations. The board has revised the schedule for the computer based test for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant posts, bringing clarity after earlier confusion over exam dates.
The recruitment notification for these posts was released earlier, and the online application process has already been completed across railway regions nationwide. Initially, the CBT was expected to be conducted on February 19, 20 and 25. In a fresh announcement released on February 10, the RRB confirmed the revised exam schedule, retaining these dates as part of the updated plan.
The examination is being conducted to fill a total of 2570 vacancies. As per the official guidelines, city intimation slips will be issued to candidates ten days before the examination date. Admit cards will be made available four days prior to the exam, allowing applicants sufficient time to prepare and plan their travel.
RRB officials advised candidates to regularly check the official regional websites for updates related to exam centres and instructions. Aspirants are also reminded to rely only on official notifications to avoid misinformation circulating online.
Meanwhile, candidates in Telangana are also keeping a close watch on another major recruitment deadline. The Telangana High Court has announced that online applications for 859 vacant posts in district courts across the state will close shortly. Interested and eligible applicants can apply online until February 13 2026.
The application fee for Telangana High Court recruitment is set at 600 rupees for General and BC candidates, while SC ST EWS PWD and ESM applicants are required to pay 400 rupees. With multiple recruitment timelines overlapping, candidates are urged to track dates carefully and complete applications without delay.
