Six Killed and Over 40 Injured After Tractor Overturns in Madhya Pradesh

A tractor carrying villagers to a religious event overturned in Madhya Pradesh, leaving six people dead and more than forty others injured on Saturday.

A tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh claimed six lives and left more than 40 people injured after a tractor carrying dozens of passengers overturned on Saturday. The incident occurred near Ginjri village in Anuppur district and triggered a large scale rescue operation.

According to police officials, more than 50 residents from Padaniya village were traveling to Bijora village to attend a religious gathering. Most of the passengers were seated in the tractor trolley when the vehicle met with the accident.

As the tractor approached Ginjri village, the trolley reportedly went out of control and overturned. The impact was severe, trapping many passengers beneath the vehicle. Several victims suffered serious injuries as people fell on top of one another during the crash.

Local residents rushed to the scene immediately after the accident and joined police personnel in rescue efforts. Emergency teams worked to pull victims from beneath the overturned trolley before shifting the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that six people lost their lives in the accident, while over 40 others sustained injuries. Among the injured, around 15 people were reported to be in critical condition and were later transferred to the district hospital for advanced medical care.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Officials are examining all aspects of the incident as part of the inquiry.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the loss of lives and announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh for the families of each deceased victim. He also directed officials to ensure proper medical treatment for those injured in the accident.
