A young judicial officer from Delhi was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in the Green Park area of South Delhi, prompting a detailed police investigation. The 30 year old judge, Aman Kumar Sharma, was discovered hanging inside his home on Saturday.
Police officials said they received a call in the afternoon from a relative, after which a team rushed to the spot. Upon arrival, officers had to break open a bathroom door where Sharma was found unresponsive. He was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had already passed away.
Initial findings suggest a case of suicide, though authorities have not ruled out other possibilities. Investigators noted that no suicide note was recovered from the scene, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the circumstances of his death. A case has been registered and officials are examining all possible angles.
Family members have alleged that ongoing domestic issues may have caused severe emotional distress, which could have led to the tragic incident. These claims are now part of the investigation as police continue to gather evidence and statements.
Aman Kumar Sharma had joined the Delhi Judicial Services in 2021 and was serving as a key official at the Karkardooma Court. He is survived by his wife and two children. His wife is also a judicial officer. Authorities have sent the body for postmortem examination and stated that further details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
