Telangana: BJP, TRS workers clash during last day of Munugode bypoll campaign

Nalgonda : BJP and the ruling TRS workers clash with each other on the last of Munugode bypoll assembly constituency campaign here on Tuesday.The incident occurred at Palevela village near Munugode in Nalgonda district during the high-voltage poll campaign by BJP MLA Etela Rajender in support of their candidate Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy.TRS party workers threw stones and attacked a BJP workers clash between workers of the two sides that left several workers from BJP party injured.The poll campaign vehicle of the Etela was also damaged in the incident.A video showing the two party workers attacking each other with sticks and the police try to separate the political rival clashing groups, became viral on social media platforms. This is the first political group clash incident reported in the crucial Munugode bypoll campaign which ended today.The bypoll is being seen as a precursor to 2023 assembly elections with both TRs and BJP leaving no stone unturned to emerge victorious.While 47 candidates were in the fray, the main contest was between BJP,TRS and Congress.At least 2.41 lakh voters will decide eh fortunes of three main players – BJP’s Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, Kusukunta Prabhakar Reddy of TRs and Palvai Sravanthi (Congress) on November 3 when the voting will be held in 298 polling stations.The result will be out on November 6.
