Sarpanch Surakanti Swapna Rajeshwar Reddy said that for the economic development of the farmers, the government collects the grain of the farmers from the IKP buying centers. On Monday, the Sarpanch inaugurated a grain purchase center through IKP women in Mote village of Jagtial Urban Mandal. On the occasion, she said that the government would set up purchase centers in the villages to directly collect grain from farmers to eradicate the middleman system.He said that in the past, farmers were cheated by selling grain to middlemen, but now, the government buys the grain grown by the farmers at the support price set by the government and deposits the money in the farmers’ accounts.
Sarpanch Swapna Rajeshwar Reddy advised the farmers to dry their quality grain and move it to the centers and get government support price. MPTC Rokkam Rajasekhar Reddy, Sub-Sarpanch Venkatesh, Ward members Pitta Gangadhar, Ganga Mallaya, Urban Mandal Rythubandhu Coordinator Jumberti Shankar, Urban Agriculture Department Officer Vinila, IKP CC Vidyasagar, Center Administrators Burraveni Mamata, Narra Bujji, Farmers Narayana Reddy, Srinivas, Anjanna, Padala Jalandhar, Pitta Lingareddy and others participated.
