Sad state of affairs of T-govt on Republic Day eve

Date:

(Our Special orrespondent)

Hyderabad: It is unfortunate that intervention of High Court of Telangana was sought even to discharge the Constitutional responsibilities of the Executive and Legslature..
It is a clear indication of the absolute failure of the Executive (buracracy) in the State. Celebrating Republic Day as per the set procedures is bounden duty of Chief Secretary which cannot be allowed to be negotiated or compromised at the feet of any political functionary howsoever influential or powerful. Constitution is SUPREME and all are subordinates to the constitution irrespective of their individual likes and dislikes. It is very sad that Telangana bureaucracy has failed to appreciate and conduct themselves to discharge basic responsibility expected of them
For such constitutional matters Chief Secrtary ought to have not sought any kind instructions of CM. This constitutional duty is beyond the instructions of CM and no compromises and negotiations can be entertained.Hostilities between the CM and Governor are the result of the lack of right appreciation of constitutional values.
For these small petty political matters, sanctity of Republic Day cannot be diluted.Telangana bureaucracy have given up their basic duties to appease the politicians who have no regard for any constitution and people This is the most unfortunate incident and Highcourt had to intervene and give directions.
