Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a reassuring message to students across the country, asking them to view examinations as festivals of learning rather than moments of fear and pressure.

Interacting with students during the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, Modi emphasised that education should never feel like a burden. He said true learning requires involvement and curiosity, not anxiety driven preparation focused only on marks.

The Prime Minister cautioned students against becoming obsessed with scores, pointing out that toppers are remembered only briefly while life achievements matter far more. He encouraged students to measure success by personal growth and life readiness rather than exam ranks.

Addressing confusion caused by conflicting advice from parents and teachers, Modi said every individual has a unique learning rhythm. He urged students to listen to all suggestions but adopt only what genuinely suits their own lifestyle and mindset.

Using everyday examples, he explained that just as people have different food habits, students too have different study patterns. Some perform better early in the morning while others concentrate best at night. Enjoyment and success, he said, come from trusting one’s own pattern.

Modi also reminded students not to dwell on past mistakes. Instead, he encouraged them to focus on the future, saying life is shaped by what lies ahead, not by what has already passed.

On questions related to gaming as a career, the Prime Minister said gaming is a skill that builds alertness and speed, provided it is pursued constructively and responsibly. He warned against gambling elements and stressed the importance of discipline.

Highlighting holistic development, Modi asked students to balance studies with rest hobbies and skills. He said life skills and professional skills must grow together, with education acting as the bridge between the two.

The session, attended by students from across India, also marked the continued growth of Pariksha Pe Charcha, which has evolved into one of the world’s largest student engagement initiatives, drawing record participation year after year.
