Dry fruits are also among the most calorie rich plant based foods. Cashew nuts provide around six hundred calories per hundred grams. Almonds contain about six hundred and fifty calories, while walnuts offer nearly six hundred and eighty seven calories. These foods are widely recommended by nutritionists because they also supply healthy fats, vitamins and minerals that support heart and brain health.
Another lesser known source of high energy nutrition is watermelon seeds. One hundred grams of these seeds can provide more than six hundred calories. They are also packed with protein and essential nutrients that support muscle strength and body function.
