Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting Hyderabad, police officials have announced extensive traffic restrictions and security measures around the Parade Grounds area on Sunday. Authorities said the arrangements are being made to ensure the public meeting is conducted smoothly and without disruption.
Sumathi stated that nearly 2,000 police personnel will be deployed as part of the security arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit. Surveillance and crowd management systems have also been strengthened across the venue and surrounding roads.
Officials confirmed that drones, cameras, and bags will not be allowed inside the public meeting venue. Police said the restrictions are being enforced as part of precautionary security measures during the high profile visit.
Traffic diversions and vehicle restrictions will remain in force from 1 pm to 9 pm around Parade Grounds and nearby roads. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes during the restricted hours to avoid congestion and delays.
Police also warned that vehicles parked illegally on roadsides during the event will be seized immediately. To manage the expected crowd, authorities have arranged 12 dedicated parking locations for people attending the public meeting.
According to officials, QR codes have been placed at parking areas to help visitors easily identify parking zones and directions. Police requested the public and commuters to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow all rules to help maintain smooth movement across the city during the Prime Minister’s visit.
