Telangana’s innovative Fertilizer Booking App has emerged as a model for fertilizer distribution across the country, according to Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao. He said the state’s digital platform has attracted attention for its effective management of fertilizer supplies and farmer friendly services.
Speaking in Hyderabad, the minister noted that several features of the app have contributed to its success. These include real time visibility of fertilizer stocks, digital booking facilities for farmers, crop based fertilizer allocation, dashboard monitoring, and data driven supply management. He said these elements have helped create an efficient system that is now being studied as part of broader digital agriculture initiatives.
The minister stated that the app was designed with the sole objective of helping farmers access fertilizers without unnecessary difficulties. By providing accurate stock information and allowing advance booking, the platform has reduced uncertainty and improved transparency in the distribution process.
According to Tummala, farmers can now easily check fertilizer availability at nearby outlets and secure their requirements through the app. This has helped minimize long queues and prevented confusion during periods of high demand for urea and other fertilizers.
Highlighting the impact of the initiative, he said the Telangana model has demonstrated how technology can improve agricultural administration and streamline essential services. The digital system has enabled authorities to monitor supply patterns more effectively and ensure timely distribution based on actual requirements.
The minister also criticized opposition parties for raising concerns over urea availability and alleged that certain groups attempted to create unnecessary anxiety among farmers. He maintained that the government’s focus has remained on providing practical solutions through technology rather than engaging in political debates.
Tummala emphasized that the Fertilizer Booking App continues to benefit farmers by making fertilizer procurement more convenient and transparent. He said the success of the platform has positioned Telangana as a leading example of digital innovation in agricultural governance.
