Shocking details have surfaced regarding the online booking of Srivani Trust tickets for Tirumala darshan, a service widely used by devotees seeking quicker access to Lord Venkateswara’s temple. Officials found that some private net centers and travel agencies were allegedly using advanced software tools to secure tickets within seconds of release.
According to the investigation, nearly 400 to 500 tickets out of the 800 released daily were reportedly being booked instantly through auto filling software and third party technology. The system allegedly allowed agents to upload pre stored devotee details into the official booking portal the moment the server became active, leaving ordinary devotees with little chance of securing tickets.
The original Srivani Trust ticket costs Rs 10,500 including donation and darshan charges. However, agents were allegedly reselling the same tickets for nearly Rs 13,500 by collecting an additional amount from desperate devotees. Many pilgrims reportedly faced difficulties as the illegal network continued to profit from high demand for Tirumala darshan.
TTD vigilance officials have now intensified the probe after receiving multiple complaints. Investigators identified a Chennai based firm named Padmavathi Travels for its alleged involvement in the illegal sale of Srivani tickets. A case has been registered, and officials are now examining whether more agencies or technical experts were part of the operation.
Authorities suspect the misuse of modern software technology may have helped manipulate the booking process, raising serious concerns about the security of the official Tirumala ticketing system.
