GAIL CMD Sandeep Kumar Gupta receives ‘Best CEO’ award

New Delhi: The Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL (India) Limited, Sandeep Kumar Gupta, has received India’s ‘Best CEO’ award for Oil and Gas Sector at a function held in Mumbai.
The award was presented to him by the Union Minister for Civil Aviation & Steel, Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Gupta has wide experience of over 34 years of Oil & Gas Industry and took charge as Chairman & Managing Director of GAIL last October. Before this, he held the position of Director (Finance) at Indian Oil Corporation.
The award was presented at the BT Mindrush program organized by the India Today group based on the company’s performance for the financial year 2022-23.
GAIL (India) Limited is India’s leading natural gas company with diversified interests across the natural gas value chain of trading, transmission, LPG production & transmission, LNG re-gasification, petrochemicals, city gas, E&P, etc.
It owns and operates a network of around 14617 km of natural gas pipelines spread across the length and breadth of the country. It is also working concurrently on the execution of multiple pipeline projects to further enhance the spread. GAIL commands around 70% market share in gas transmission and has a Gas trading share of over 50% in India. GAIL and its Subsidiaries / JVs also have a formidable market share in City Gas Distribution. In the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market, GAIL has a significantly large portfolio. GAIL is also expanding its presence in renewable energy like Solar, Wind, and Biofuel.
