Artists;

Dinesh Tej is good in the role of the cop. He showed good emotions and expressions as a police officer and also as the person who gets attracted towards a girl after a long time.

Dhasvika Kinthalli looked good on the screen. However she got limited dialogues and screen presence. Others performed according to their roles.

Technicians:

The story of Tatwam is written by Arjun Kola. He tried to attract all with the murder mystery in the backdrop of rural atmosphere. He starts the narration in an interesting way and sets the tone for the investigation. The first half sails of smoothly in a slow and steady manner before it ends with the interesting twist setting the stage for the second half.

The second half proceeds in a predictable way with the pressure from the top officials regarding investigation and the protagonist trying to get green signal from the female lead for his love. The film finally ends with the interesting development.

The story though turns decent but the narration treads in a slow manner like serial like presentation. This diluted the intensity levels of the already predictable narration. The screenplay is uni dimensional and offered nothing new. Direction turned out to be average.

The music of Chaitan Bharadwaj is melodious. The songs are very few and we shot in an appealing manner. His background music is in sync with the story and added value to the narration. Bharat Patti with his cinematography showed the rural and village atmosphere in a realistic and natural way. The editing of Viplav Nyshadam could have been better as there are many scenes and elements that are repetitive and slowed the pace of the narration. Dialogues are ok and production values are average.

Analysis.

Altogether, Tatvam turns out of be a routine murder mystery. The cast and crew tried their best to come up with a quality product. However, it seems the budget constraints prevented them from doing so. Director Arjun Kola came up with a murder mystery and tried to add spiritual touch but after couple of dialogues , he completely ignores it. He then tried to increase the interest levels with the investigation and blending it with romantic elements. Little fine-tuning of the script, including twists and turns would could make the film even better. Considering all these aspects,

Bottom-line:

A Sincere Rural Mystery With Heart

THE SOUTH INDIA TIMES RATING: 3/5.
