A new era of transformation begins in Odisha:

Date:

Bhubaneswar, Aug 15: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday said a new era of transformation has begun in the state. Addressing the people of Odisha on the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister said the state’s success is paving the way for others. Becoming a food surplus from a food deficit state, a model for the world in disaster management, empowering 70 lakh women, and making an identity as a sports hub are the symbols of Odisha’s victory, Patnaik said.

“Education is our focus. Our school transformation program brings a strong pledge of quality education. It has generated a new hope among children,” the CM said.

He said, 315 Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas, which were founded to offer top-notch education to gifted rural children, are now very well-liked and have an enrollment of about one lakh students. For 5,000 girl students, the state government built 50 hostels at the Adarsha Vidyalayas, the Chief Minister said.

Patnaik said that the state places a special priority on getting young people into the workforce and that his administration is moving to fill more than 70,000 entry-level positions across several departments. Odisha has achieved great success in the areas of tribal empowerment and development. With a budgeted allocation of Rs 2,800 crore for nutrition security, the state government has expanded the millet mission to 19 districts, he said.

Odisha is the holy land of Jagannath, he said. “Sponsoring both the men’s and women’s Indian hockey teams is the best evidence of our nationalistic attitude. Odias always rise above regional mindset and work in the national spirit.” In honor of the event, Patnaik paid respects to covid warriors, troops who gave their lives in battle, and freedom fighters.
