BJP is pro-people and works for the development of all areas without any political considerations. Stating this during a series of election meetings in the Nadaun assembly segment of Hamirpur district today, Union Information-cum-Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that the BJP had given corruption-free governance in the Modi government. In contrast, Congress has done only the work of looting notes by collecting votes.
Thakur said that many times we brought big projects for the state, but every time Congress tried to stop them. He said that he brought the project of AIIMS at a cost of Rs 1470 crore but Congress did not give land for 4 years, brought Central University in 2010 but kept administrative hurdles in it for 8 years. At the same time, in 2012, the project of Hydrocarbon Engineering College was approved, which was also kept on hold by the Congress government for 7 years.
Thakur gave the credit for the four-lane built in the state to the double-engine government. In support of BJP candidate Vijay Agnihotri, he asked people for a boat and said that BJP had done big works including One Rank One Pension, Vande Bharat trains, Medical College, PGI Center in Una, Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhawan in Nadaun.
He said that the special status of the state was snatched in the Congress government and was restored by Prime Minister Modi. Anurag Thakur said that relentless development has taken place in the Jai Ram government in the state in the last five years, but this has been possible only because there was a BJP government at the center and there was a BJP government in the state. He said that the work of the medical college was going on with full gusto; the establishment of AIIMS in Bilaspur is a great achievement for the state.
Praising Vijay Agnihotri, Anurag Thakur said that Vijay Agnihotri did not live in Shimla during the Corona period like the MLA of Nadaun, but has been with you in every sorrow and happiness of the people and has carried out development works in Nadaun without discrimination.
While urging the people, he said that once again a double engine government is going to be formed in the state, so today I have come to you to seek support for Vijay Agnihotri, by giving him victory with huge votes and handing over the command of representation of your region. Send them to the assembly.
On this occasion, Vijay Agnihotri also made a special request to the people to vote in favor of the BJP in the elections.
