I-Tax Dept conducts searches in WB ,claims to have detected unaccounted income of over Rs 250 Crores

New Delhi: The Income Tax Department has carried out a search and seizure operation on two prominent real estate groups in Kolkata, an official statement said on Wednesday. The department claimed that the search action carried out on August 18, 2022, led to a detection of a total unaccounted income of more than Rs.250 crore.

During search proceedings sixteen bank lockers were found that were placed below restraint, the statement same. “During the search operation, an oversized variety of incriminatory proof as well as documents and digital information are found and confiscated. There square measure items of proof from books money transactions and on-money receipts. many documents and electronic information indicate routing of unaccounted cash through shell firms,” the statement same.
