State Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao said that if anyone got place in top 10 of state ranks in any group such as MPC, BIPC, CEC, HEC, intermediate students will be awarded a gold medal.Minister Harish Rao stated that the Telangana government is the only state in the country which provides textbooks and provides education like no other state in the country.State Minister Harish Rao laid the foundation stone for the construction of additional classrooms at Siddipet Government Girls Junior College,at the district headquarters. He spoke in the meeting organized on this occasion.The minister revealed that 2.50 crore funds have been allocated for the creation of basic facilities for girls’ high school and girls’ junior college, of which Rs.1.50 crore is being used for junior girls’ college and Rs.1 for girls’ school. He said that additional, another Rs.1.50 crore is being constructed for the construction of playground running track, basketball court, volleyball court and open gym in the premises of girls’ high school and junior college.Development work is being done for girls’ high school and girls’ college with a total of Rs.4 crores, he said. We will make the government college similar to the corporate school.We are spending Rs.7300 crores for the modernization of government schools across the state under Mana Uru and Mana Badi scheme.The government has decided to provide health hygienic kits to the students studying from class 8 onwards in government schools.We will distribute health hygienic kits to 11 lakh girls across the state at a cost of Rs.70 crores.Students studying in government schools and colleges should study well. Minister wished to study well and get good ranks for Siddipet.
