Sonia Gandhi questioned by ED, Congress protests

NEW DELHI, JULY 21 (UNI) Congress members staged protests across the country on Thursday as party President Sonia Gandhi was called for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate. Congress MPs protested in the Parliament, and party leaders also attempted to march up to the Enforcement Directorate office, and were detained by Delhi Police. Congress leaders staged protests in different cities across the country, calling the ED questioning of its party president “political vendetta”. The parliamentarians staged protests inside Lok Sabha. They showed placards accusing the government of misusing central agencies; several MPs even trooped near the Speaker’s podium raising slogans.
