TERRORIST HIDEOUT BUSTED IN DODA

Jammu, July 22 (UNI) The joint team of security forces on Friday busted a terrorist hideout and seized a cache of arms and ammunition in the woods of Gandoh in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. A police official here said that on receiving specific inputs, a police party headed by Inspector Vikram Singh, Station House Officer, Police Station Gandoh along with troops of the Indian Army this afternoon launched a joint search operation in the forest area of Gandoh. “During the search, an old hideout of terrorists was busted in Khasodi Chansar forest and arms, explosive material in rusted condition was seized on the spot,” police said.

The recovery included one UBGL Barrel, one UBGL grenade, one RPG shell, 25 Electronic detonators, and two UBGL Accessories. A case has been registered under relevant sections and an investigation has started. Notably, the area wherefrom the recovery has been made is abandoned and the forest area had been highly terror-prone in the past.
