To perform last rites, body floated on rubber tube in MP

Date:

Bhopal, Aug 16: The absence of a bridge-proper connection forced villagers to tie the body of a deceased man to a floating rubber tube to cross the flooded Narmada river. Due to the flood, kin of the deceased had no option but to take the body through a rubber tube to cross the water and to perform the last rights. The incident was reported on Sunday in Madhya Pradesh’s Anuppur district where due to heavy rainfall, the road connecting to the village was submerged into rainwater.
