Tirupati: Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav said on Friday that the Centre’s focus was on extended coordination with state governments for expansion and improvement in the service delivery mechanism of ESIC.
Addressing the valedictory session of the two-day National Labour Conference, the Union Minister said the emphasis was on universalising the social protection to workers and improving employment opportunities for all.
For this purpose, he urged the integration of e- Sharma portal for onboarding social security schemes run by both state and central governments. Earlier he narrated the Centre’s initiatives for expansion and improvement in the service delivery mechanism of ESIC for fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Swasthya se Samridhi. He also reiterated the need for the ESI Hospitals to work in a time-bound manner for Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) compliance and adoption.
