Gram panchayat workers staged a dharna demanding regularization of services

Kakinada: Panchayat workers owing allegiance to CI TU have staged a dharna at the Zilla Parishad center demanding that Chief Minister Jaganmohanreddy fulfill his election eve promises by regularizing their services, which is pending for years. They raised slogans demanding wage increases commensurate with the price rise, and extending PF and ESI facilities.

CITU district treasurer Malaka Venkataram ana and executive member Medisetti Ramana who led the dharna announced that they would intensify the stir if the government failed to respond positively. Later they called on the Joint Collector Ilakkiya in a delegation consisting of Aseervadam, Kondalar ao, Veerraju, Sathibabu, Lakshmi, and Sreenu and presented a representation listing their demands.
