Amaravati, Sep 10: Heavy to very heavy rain with extremely heavy falls is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam on Friday. Meteorological Centre in a bulletin here said that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema today. It said Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and heavy rain is likely at isolated places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam on Sunday. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema today. Gusty winds of speed ranging from 30-40 kph is likely to prevail at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the day.

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is likely at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh tomorrow. The same situation would prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam the day after tomorrow, the bulletin said. Extremely heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in the Visakhapatnam district of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours. Very heavy rainfall occurred at Yanam of Puducherry and heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in Vizianagaram and West Godavari districts during the same period.

The Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and at many places over Rayalaseema in the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.
