Amaravati: Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema on September 6, Meteorological Centre said on Saturday. A weather report here, it said heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema on Sund ay and Monday.

Heavy rain is also likely to occur at isolated places in No rth Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam on Monday and in South Coastal Andhra Prad esh on September 5 and 6. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to occuratisolatedplacesinNorth Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayala seem during the next five days.

Southwest monsoon has been weak in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yana m and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours. Rainfall occurred at a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places in Rayalaseema and dry weather prevailed over Yanam of Puducherry, the bulletin added.
