Vizag Sep 10: Rapido, India’s leading bike- taxi, and auto service, organized a blood donation camp at its Visakhapatnam office. Around 80 Captains of the company turned into donors at the event. Vizag Mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari was the Chief Guest who inaugurated the event. At the blood donation camp, she also appreciated the Captains and rewarded their participation with certificates.
Rohit Rathod, Head of Operations, Rapido, said, “At Rapido, we are committed to giving back to society. The initiative aimed to create awareness among the general public about blood donation. Shortage of this valuable resource severely affects victims of road accidents, etc., and we want to play our part in saving as many lives as possible. The Captains were allowed to donate only after proper screening and medical examination. We are delighted that so many of them came forward and participated in the event.” Continuing to do its bit, Rapido is also planning to conduct a CPR session in Hyderabad to create awareness about helping people in case of emergencies.
