Woman hangs to ceiling fan due to alleged dowry harassment

The south India times Kakinada: A married woman has reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan with a saree at her residence in Kondevaram village of U Kothapalli Mandal 20 km from here on Sunday, police said.

The Police who registered a case identified the deceased as Medisetti Sirisha (30). Her parents alleged that their daughter was stepped by her husband and in-laws harassing her for additional dowry. Pending further investigation, the body was shifted to the government general hospital here for postmortem, police added.
