‘YSRCP leaders deliberately attack on his tour in Kuppam constituency’

Date:

Tirupati: Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party national president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday charged ruling YSRCP leaders with deliberately attacking his tour in the Kuppam constituency with full police support.

Addressing a public meeting at Model Colony in Kuppam, he alleged that the police personnel in civil clothes had engineered the attack on Anna canteen at Rama Kuppam on Thursday with sticks and the violence there after in Kuppam while the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Chittoor dis- trict was personally present in the Kuppam area.

Mr. Naidu said that it was unfair on the part of the police to deploy hundreds of personnel for security at the residence of MLC K Bharath, but deliberately ignored the bandobast at Anna canteen nearby. ?

On the concluding day of his three-day visit to his constituency TDP chief visited the model housing colony and said the YSRCP government had stopped the model housing program launched by him in the past for which sanctions were given for 3000 houses. Against the backdrop of disturbing incidents during Naidu’s visits to Ramakuppam and Kuppam in the last two consecutive days, a heavy police bandobast has been arranged along his route on a concluding day. The personal security of Naidu was also stepped up with additional NSG commanders. He castigated that the YSRCP government let loose police Zulum on democratically organized opposition meetings and demanded an explanation from the DGP.
