Warangal (TSIT) : YS Sharmila has lashed out at Chief Minister KCR’s misdeed of giving Sri Ram Sagar project water as a gift to Maharashtra unconditionally. Addressing a press conference in Hanmakonda on Monday, Sharmila said that the Chief Minister’s open offer to Maharashtra to take the waters of Sriram Sagar project was ridiculous and arbitrary. He said that this project, which will irrigate more than 16 lakh acres, is Telangana’s heritage and lifeblood, and no one has the right to play with the farmers like this. How can KCR openly invite to lift SRSP water..? She said that Maharashtra has already built many illegal projects on the Godavari river, giving a horn to Telangana in this regard, but they have started compromising on the interests of KCR who have already removed the word Telangana from the party name considering it sentimental.
KCRM criticized Telangana farmers for their cheap politics. KCR looted the state treasury and pushed it into a debt crisis of Rs.4 lakh crore. Moreover, he did not keep even one of his promises.
YS Sharmila said that they are now giving a green signal to the exploitation of SRSP water, which has already been mired in litigation, has sunk in alluvial soil layers and ultimately led to the hardships of North Telangana farmers.Worst of all is his distaste for the Jai Telangana slogan, the sentiment and expression of which he came to power and looted the state for decades. If the affairs of the state are left to KCR, he will sell Hyderabad and Charminar too.
YS Sharmila said that there are many problems with neighboring states regarding river water. KCR is not concerned about the plight of Nanded farmers, but she criticized him for failing to own over 8000 farmer suicides in Telangana, Sharmila showed the records of NCRB, Police and Rythu Swaraj during his rule. If this situation is like this, why doesn’t Telangana farmer choose death..? YS Sharmila demanded an explanation and apology to the Telangana farmer before continuing his cheap ‘ab ki bar kisan sarkar’ politics across the country.
