Bommai ridicules Priyanka Gandhi’s ‘Na Nayaki’ convention

Date:

Hubballi, Jan 16 : Ridiculing the ‘Na Nayaki’ convention, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra proclaiming herself as the leader shows the plight of the Congress party.
“We don’t have any objection to her coming to Karnataka, but one thing I fail to understand is the title of the convention “Na Nayaki”, meaning I am the leader. Such a situation has risen where Priyanka Gandhi has to announce herself as a woman leader,” Bommai told reporters here.
On the Congress making a separate budget for women, Bommai said it knows well that it will not come to power in the state because of which they are ready to give any assurance.
Asked about Congress terming the ongoing Rashtriya Yuva janotsava as ‘Vinashotsava’, Bommai said the statement shows the mindset of their leaders who are dreaming about the destruction of the party.
“Those leaders don’t know how to appreciate good things. Their language, thinking, and behavior have changed, and started talking very meanly about the development of the State. This indicates their frustration. So, there is no need to give so much importance to such statements,” he said. Bommai was in Hubballi to attend the valedictory of the five-day National Youth Festival in Dharwad which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
