Bengaluru, Jan 18: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said the central party leadership has promised to get back soon in this regard.
“This has been discussed with the party’s central leadership and they have promised to get back soon in this regard. Not much time was available to discuss it because of the National Executive Committee meeting,” he told reporters here.
The CM refused to give any reaction to BK Hariprasad’s “prostitute” remark and said this is his reply to him.
Asked about Rs 2,000 universal income for each woman by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at “Naa Nayaki” convention, the CM said the Congress has become desperate and is trying to mislead people.“Why did they not do it when in power? The promises made during that time never fulfilled and there is no guarantee that they will fulfill it even now. People have lost hopes on the Congress party.“My government has announced only the serious schemes after seeing its pros and cons and taking into account the state’s financial position. We will do as we promise,” he said.
Bommai termed the modernisation of Narayanpur Left Bank Canal (NLBC) as a model for the entire country, and also an important milestone in the field of irrigation.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Karnataka to take part in two programs. The NLBC modernisation work is a unique project to be launched by the PM and it was taken up with the financial assistance of the state and union Governments. By launching such a scheme it will inspire to implement more such programs.
