Children’s Day Out at Sid’s Farm

Date:

Hyderabad, 24 December 2022: Sid’s Farm, a premium D2C dairy brand based in Telangana, played host to 250 school children from the Hyderabad Public School (HPS), Begumpet, at their quaint farm situated in Chevella this Tuesday (21st December 2022). The Sid’s Farm campus buzzed with curiosity and delight of the school children in the company of their bos-taurus friends. This visit was aimed for the school children to learn about the source of dairy and the process involved in farming and production of dairy.
Dr. Kishore Indukuri, Founder of Sid’s Farm, navigated the tour around the farm personally, explaining all the techniques of modern dairy farming to the young learners. He said, “This initiative of inviting school kids to Sid’s Farm started recently with the aim of introducing children about milk processing and testing”. He added, “Children have impressionable and inquisitive minds and they show interest in every aspect of the value chain- from the production to testing as well as water conservation. They could witness the processes ensured by Sid’s Farm to keep their milk and dairy products adulterant and antibiotics free. They also garnered the understanding that our niche products are different from the offerings of other dairy brands in the market”.
One of the school children from HPS, Begumpet merrily said, “It was a fun packed learning experience for all of us. We got the opportunity to gather firsthand knowledge about how pure milk reaches our doorstep.”Sid’s Farm, which was established in the year 2016, has accomplished many a feat. It is a fresh dairy brand based in Telangana which uses state-of-the-art technology and has put quality as the topmost factor of any product. It aims to provide families and communities with real fresh cow and buffalo milk and milk products free from any antibiotic, preservative, or synthetic hormone. The product range of the farm includes pure cow’s milk, pure buffalo’s milk, pure skim milk, pure cow’s ghee, pure buffalo ghee, natural curd and natural paneer.
The ‘National Milk Safety and Quality Survey 2018’ found harmful contaminants, such as aflatoxin-M1, antibiotics and pesticides in major milk brands. Even FSSAI revealed that only 62.3% milk sold meets the standard, which is far below the global average. In the case of Sid’s Farm, Dr. Indukuri, a strong advocate of quality dairy and dairy products, started this activity under the ‘Milkology’ brand of Sid’s Farm. He stated, “Under the #Milkology marque at Sid’s Farm, we are in perpetual attempt to raise awareness among the next generation about adulteration in food products and in this process empower them to become torchbearers in our campaign against adulteration in food, especially dairy based products. We regularly conduct awareness campaigns in schools and other educational institutes.”.
