Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s Task Force along with Chilkalguda police station members in the North Zone on Wednesday arrested a five-member gang who were involved in stealing cars and selling them too. They have also seized 18 vehicles stolen vehicles worth over Rs 2.45 crore from their possession.
According to the police, after stealing the vehicles, they used to change the identification by removing registration, engine, and chassis numbers to wipe out the evidenceThe accused are identified as Thakur Shailender Singh (50), Abdu Raheem Khan (43), Shaik Javed (49), Varikuppala Dashrath (35), and Shanawaz Ali Khan (30). Three other accomplices of the gang Bappa Ghosh, Kodimala Paripurna Chary, and Kaleem are at large.The stolen vehicles include (3 Innova Crysta Cars, One Fortuner, 6 Brezza, 3 Baleno, Two Swift Dzire, Two Swift, and one Creta brand Car. The arrest was made under the supervision of P Shabarish, Dy. Commr of Police, CCS ( I/C Commissioner’s Task Force), T.Srinath Reddy, Inspector of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone, SIs B.Ashok Reddy, K.Srikanth, M.Anantha Chary, B.Aravind Goud & the staff of North Zone Task Force Team, Hyderabad.
