District Collector Orders Measures to Support Farmers in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Nalgonda District Collector T. Vinay Krishna Reddy has ordered managers of purchase centers to take steps to buy wood and support farmers. On Thursday, the collector inspected the IKP paddy buying centers in Chennaram village along with concerned officials. He ordered the centers to provide drinking water, ORS packets, and shade accommodation for farmers in view of the summer season.
After testing the moisture content and quality standards of the grain, the collector ordered the immediate weighing and transport of purchased grain to mills. He also instructed officials to increase the number of trucks for transporting grain from the centers and to arrange necessary trucks in the purchase centers.
The collector inspected Balaji Rice Mill in Katalguda, Nalgonda Mandal, and ordered millers to import grain from the lorries from the purchase centers without delay. The officials were directed to supervise the unloading of grain at each mill point.
According to the collector, a total of 235 buying centers have been set up in the district, purchasing 45,068 metric tons of grain from 5,248 farmers, and transporting 41,677 metric tons of grain to the mills. The district collector was accompanied by various officials during the inspection, including District Civil Supplies Officer Venkateswarlu, District Civil Supplies DM Nageshwar Rao, D.R.D. O Kalindi, and Nalgonda MPD Srinivas Reddy.
