Girl bitten by stray dogs dies

Kerala: A 12-year-old girl who was given three doses of anti-rabies vaccine after a stray dog bit her two weeks ago died on Monday. After her condition became serious, Ranni Perunad of Abhirami was put on a ventilator at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Despite vaccination, the deaths of a few people have caused anxiety among people in Kerala. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said an expert panel will be formed to examine the quality of the antirabies vaccine being given in hospitals in the state.
