Kannur: In yet another shocking incident, three people have been taken into custody by the Kannur police in Kerala for allegedly raping and drugging a woman.Among the accused, one of them is a female relative of the victim. Police said that the incident occurred near Kannur on Tuesday when the woman went to meet a relative for a job. The female relative has been recognized as Malar.
The victim was then taken to another house on the pretext of a job search and Malar claimed that it would be easy to search job from there. Following this, two men joined, and the victim was reportedly offered juice. After drinking the juice she reportedly collapsed, news agency IANS reported.When she regained consciousness, she was shocked to find out herself in a hospital. She narrated her ordeal to the doctors and the matter was immediately reported to the police.
After police became aware of the alleged incident, they launched an investigation and three men were taken into custody.However, it is unclear whether another person is involved in the alleged incident, hence cops are probing the matter further.
