Kerala Elections: BJP Manifesto Promises Free LPG Pension Benefits and Major Infrastructure Projects

The BJP released its Kerala election manifesto promising welfare schemes including free LPG cylinders pension support for women and senior citizens along with major infrastructure and development projects.

BJP releases manifesto for Kerala election

The Bharatiya Janata Party has released its manifesto for the upcoming Kerala Assembly election presenting a mix of welfare programs and large development projects. Party leaders said the proposals aim to improve public services strengthen infrastructure and provide financial support to vulnerable sections of society.

The manifesto was officially released by BJP national president Nitin Navin during a party event attended by senior leaders including Kerala BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

Welfare schemes promised in Kerala election manifesto

One of the major promises in the Kerala election manifesto is financial support for senior citizens women and economically weaker families. The party has proposed a monthly pension of three thousand rupees for people above seventy years of age women heads of poor families and widows.

The manifesto also promises a special welfare card for women from poor and below poverty line families. The card will be recharged with an amount of two thousand five hundred rupees every month and can be used for purchasing groceries and medicines.

Free LPG cylinders and water supply

The BJP has also announced that poor households would receive two free LPG cylinders every year if the party forms the government. According to the proposal one cylinder will be provided during the Onam festival and another during Christmas.

The manifesto further promises free drinking water supply up to twenty thousand liters per month for every household. Leaders said the aim is to reduce basic living expenses for families across the state.

Focus on infrastructure and transport projects

Apart from welfare measures the manifesto highlights several major infrastructure proposals. These include establishing an AIIMS hospital in the state and launching metro rail projects in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.

The party has also promised to implement a high speed corridor connecting Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur which could improve transportation across Kerala.

Protection of religious institutions

The manifesto includes commitments to protect places of worship and ensure that religious traditions are respected. It promises reforms in the management of temple boards and action against corruption or administrative interference in religious institutions.

The party also pledged to safeguard important pilgrimage centers including Sabarimala and Guruvayur.

Plans for economic growth and employment

The BJP has also proposed initiatives to address unemployment by supporting sectors with high growth potential. The party plans to promote innovation technology and electronics industries in order to create employment opportunities for skilled youth in the state.

Other proposals include expanding metro connectivity to major urban centers and improving railway infrastructure including reviving the Nilambur Nanjangud rail project and extending the Thrissur Guruvayur railway line to Tirur.

Leaders said the manifesto reflects the vision of building a developed Kerala while ensuring economic opportunities and social welfare for all sections of society.
