Bengaluru : In a counter to Karnataka Congress party’s hit and scoot allegations of 40 percent commission, the state BJP unit has lodged a complaint with Lokayukta against former chief minister Siddaramaiah in TenderSure scam. The complaint was lodged by Karnataka BJP (SC) Morcha President and MLC Chalavadi Narayanaswamy. “The Congress is making hit and scoot allegations of 40 per cent commission without substantiating with evidence and driving a misinformation campaign against BJP and the state government,” he stated.
In contrast, the BJP has filed the complaint with evidence against Siddaramaiah in the TenderSure scam, Narayanaswamy said. He stated that the Siddaramaiah-led government had released funds amounting to 53.86 percent than what was tendered under TenderSure projects in 2013-14.
“We have submitted documents to establish the scam,” Narayanaswamy said. Moreover, the BJP leader alleged that Siddaramaiah had dismantled Lokayukta after 60-odd cases of corruption were filed against him. At least 10 cases were referred to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) which gave him a clean chit during his tenure. “Our party wants the remaining 50 cases against him to be investigated,” he said.
